Can I get a residential mooring on the Thames?

Yes, Residential moorings, that is moorings for live aboard boaters, do exist on the non tidal Thames but there are very few of them. The Environment Agency, for example, have one residential mooring site which has just 12 berths.

Some of the islands on the non tidal Thames have residential moorings for live aboard boaters but the numbers of berths are very limited and they are in huge demand.

You will find marinas and boatyards that have some residential moorings and will accept live aboard boaters but, again, the numbers are limited and the demand much greater than the supply
