Do I have to use this site when mooring on the Thames?

If you are mooring at one of the sites managed by TVM please notify us of your arrival and pay any appropriate fee.  This can be done online via this website or by phone on 07768 605841.

What if I can’t access the Internet?

Phone us on 07768 605841 and either talk to us or leave a message with your details and we will call you back.

What if I prefer not to pay online or over the phone?

Call us and we can discuss when and where we can collect your payment from you.

What if I can’t moor where I want to?

Moorings are taken on a first come first served basis. If there is no space at a particular mooring, we do encourage breasting up. Our automated online system means that we have information on what space is available at a particular mooring so we may be able to advise on where there are spaces.  This will however only be accurate at that particular moment and is dependent wholly on everyone using the system in the way in which it was intended to be used.

Can I leave the mooring and return during the period for which I have registered?

You are free to leave the mooring however there is no guarantee that your space will still be available on your return. If this happens no refund will be made so we advise against doing this unless you are prepared to take the risk of losing your space

Do I have to create an account?

No. The advantage of creating an account is that you do not have to re-enter the same information as the system will remember your details as soon as you login.

Why are there some visitor moorings not listed on this site?  

Putting together a comprehensive list of moorings is a work in progress so it might be as simple as we missed it! If you know of a visitor mooring we haven’t listed, please use the “Submit a Mooring” feature on the main moorings page to alert us.

How can I find the nearest facilities?

Click the “Interactive Map” tab on the Home Page. You will see the pins showing Visitor Moorings. Along the top of the map there are a number of tick boxes for locks, bridges, pump outs etc. Tick the boxes to find the location of the facilities you need.

By whose authority are TVM collecting mooring fees?

We collect fees at the request and with the authority of the Freeholder of the land on which the mooring is located.  

Can I pre-book moorings on the Thames?

No, we ask you to register your arrival as soon as you arrive, but not before as there is no guarantee of a space being available until you get there.  You can however add the additional days you intend to stay up to the maximum allowed.
